Young Teacher Section

Young teachers are vital to the teaching profession and, as such, the NEU is proud to have so many involved and active in the Union. In Derbyshire we are expanding our Young Teachers’ group for teachers of 35 years old or younger; this group is specifically for young teachers and run by young teachers.

The NEU in Derbyshire currently have a young teacher as President in Lisa Tunnell and want to involve as many young teachers as possible in local area meetings, young teachers’ events and the union nationally.

Very soon the Derbyshire NEU will be organising it’s Young Teachers’ Meeting where all events and issues that involve young teachers will be discussed. This free event will be open to all Derbyshire NEU young teachers and is likely to be residential.

If you want to get involved or just have a question, the Young Teacher Officer for Derbyshire is Robin Pardo Roques. Robin’s contact email is and you can address any questions, ideas or suggestions to this email.

Please get in touch if you require transport to local meetings; the next local meetings are:
